The EP50 can operate as a stand alone process batch controller, bag filler or even as a trip amplifier and can be used for up to 16 ingredients and 99 recipes.
In addition to the 16 dual speed ingredient set points, there are 4 level alarms, 8 level trips, 4 process timers and 8 sequence driven outputs.
As well as the primary load cell input, the controller can also handle other analogue process inputs.
The EP50 may also be equipped with over 60 digital inputs/outputs, providing direct plant control.
The design of the unit, which is based on Procon's extensive experience in process weighing, incorporates the latest customized microelectronics to ensure the highest weighing accuracy, combined with the power required to perform complex process batching control without the need for special remote programming tools.
Set up can be carried out on site using the Batching controller's fully programmable high level sequence control language.
Flexible inter-connectivity is assured by the integrated bi-directional serial ports which can be set up by the user for a range of standard protocols, including Modbus and Profibus.

Configuration of the basic unit and the modules is implemented using Windows-based software, which is included with the unit.
