METTLER Inc introduces the IND130 industrial weight transmitter. Using industry-standard connectivity, the IND130 converts analog strain-gauge load cell signals into a digital signal suitable for PC and PLC applications. Featuring CalFREE, an advanced test-weight-free calibration algorithm, the IND130 provides a streamline approach to integrating weighing into process control applications.--Columbus, OH

IND130 is available in two flexible configurations. The DIN rail version, constructed with a fiber-reinforced polycarbonate, is easily installed into a control cabinet on a 35mm DIN rail. The harsh version, housed in a stainless steel enclosure, is ideal for mounting next to the load cells. For added convenience, the harsh version includes a four-channel analog summing board. Both versions carry UL and CE markings and can power up to four – 350ohm load cells.

Standard connectivity including PROFIBUS DP, Allen Bradley, Remote I/O, RS-232 and use with the DeviceNet Module allows seamless integration into PC and PLC control systems, CalFREE – the fast and easy calibration feature saves time and money. It is a software-based method for determining a useable calibration of a system of load cells as an alternate to a traditional test weight based calibration. The IND130 also supports traditional calibration techniques.

Description

Fast and Easy Calibration
CalFREE saves time and money. Only the load cell output sensitivity and capacity is needed to calibrate the IND130 without test weights. Traditional calibration techniques are also supported.

High Performance
Built-in TraxDSP digital filtering with proprietary analog-to-digital technology and patented compensation algorithms results in an accurate and stable signal even when exposed to vibration from nearby machinery.

Control Panel Mounting
The DIN Rail version with removable plug-in connectors makes installation of the IND130 hardware fast and easy. Configuration is made simple as well with a supplied Windows based tool.

Local Mounting
For some installations, it is desirable to have the load cell summing box and terminal located at the scale. The Harsh Enclosure version combines these functions into one environmentally protected stainless steel box.
