To be 40% faster than other units, a networkable, PLC weight scale indicator can monitor up to eight scales simultaneously - static or in-motion weighing applications.

The Evolution E1310 PLC weight scale indicator is claimed by Avery Weigh-Tronix to be up to 40% faster operation than other units.
Offering easy integration into existing factory systems, the Evolution E1310 has networking capability, display options, diagnostic capabilities and can be adapted for any weighing application.
The weight scale indicator features high accuracy combined with automation flexibility.
It can be a 'stand-alone' system monitoring a specific application, or can be integrated into all major networks - including PLCs and SCADA systems - for broader process control.
Compatible with all the standard-weighing devices, from a laboratory balance to a vehicle weighbridge, the Evolution E1310 can monitor up to eight scales simultaneously, for static or dynamic weighing systems.
A wide choice of protocols is available for sending and receiving data.
These include the following.
* Monitoring and data acquisition via a web browser (HTTP).
* Error reports via email (SMTP).
* Data transmission via FTP.
* AS/400, LAN or WAN access.
Avery Weigh-Tronix industrial weighing systems engineers can custom build the weight scale indicator to suit a specific process, including changes to the standard units of measurement, resolution and capacities and a choice of input/output options and control functions.
The scale indicator's large graphics weight display can be customised, offering over four million different configurations of weight data, text and graphics, with on-screen prompts to guide the user through the weighing sequence.
A wide variety of on-screen graphs, charts and gauges help the operator to monitor process performance quickly and easily in real-time.
An alphanumeric keypad or optional keyboard makes it easier for supervisors to change basic settings such as the softkey options and other programme parameters.
The weight scale indicator will monitor all connected scales, sensors and weight control devices as well as its own internal system and notify the operator of any faults via clear messages on the display.
In addition, if the digital indicator is connected to a fieldbus, the problem can be viewed at any access point along the network and an email sent to notify local or remote managers of the problem.
There is also an optional modem connection, which will report weight indicator or scale faults automatically to an Avery Weigh-Tronix technical support centre for analysis and resolution, without the time and expense of a service call out.
Tim Auger, product manager for Avery Weigh-Tronix added, "We are committed to making weight-based automation easy for our customers.
The new weighing indicator offers users ultimate speed and flexibility for faster weight indication, plus advanced programming capabilities not found in any other industrial weighing scale indicator.
Every aspect of the weight scale indicator can be tailored to a specific weighing application.".
