Position: This page describes the Yamato Multihead weighers' feature, operation, and performance specification.
Multihead weighers are designed to accurately dose fill dusty and small size products. Depending on required productivity the Yamato weighers can?consist of 10, 14, 16, 18, 20 and more weighing heads.
The weigher is equipped with a synchronization device and a stepping motor that allows to increase productivity.
All parts in contact with products are made of stainless steel. Multihead weigher can be used as an independent unit with an external control system or together with filling & packaging machines of “Pitpack-M” range.
The following products can be dose filled: Candies; biscuits; nuts; cookies; spice-cakes; ravioli; frozen vegetables and fruits; dried fruits; fruit drops; etc.
Operation:
Products to be weighted are fed into the weighing filler with the feeding conveyor after that the product comes to weighing bins through distributing device and intermediate hoppers. The products are weighted separately in each weighing bin and then weight data are sent to the computing unit. The computing unit calculates the total product weight in different weighing bin combinations in order to choose that combination of weighing bins in which the total weight is the most similar to the target weight.
After that the computing unit gives signals to the chosen weighing bins. They are opened with step motors and the product comes into the synchronizing hopper whereupon into the automatic packaging machine. After discharge the next product lot is fed into the weighing bin. Thereby, weighing is a continuous process.
Advantages of multihead Yamato multihead weighers:
- Calibrated weighing baskets have the same weight – to avoid weighing devices failure.
- The weighing baskets corners are rounded to allow their easy cleaning from product remains – it helps to hold constant weighing accuracy.
- A filter to suppress chatters of the next chutes when weighing – so it permits to produce 2-3 packs more than before.
