Digital weight indicator for harsh environment

Accuweigh’s X320 digital weight indicator is rated to IP69K and can withstand cleaning with high pressure water jets (1400psi) at high temperatures (up to 80°C).

The company's Perth branch fitted an IP69K harsh environment indicator to a belt scale base replacing an IP55 digital weight indicator that had been damaged by corrosive liquids at Grass Valley Formulators in Northam, WA.

The IP69K harsh environment indicator was fitted in a single day without any delays to the client’s production. The housing of the Rinstrum X320 harsh environment indicator uses a food grade, impact resistant composite alloy housing incorporating a double ‘o’ ring seal to provide superior sealing performance over traditional stainless steel enclosures.

The capacitance effect of the keypad senses an operator’s finger, whether gloved or not, from the inside of the enclosure without even requiring any actual pressure on the key.

Every weighing application has individual requirements, wether it’s environmental, software functionality, display type or available outputs, each job has to be judged on its own merits – what works in one instance may not work in another.

Accuweigh has the product range and fully trained staff to ensure we can provide the ideal solution for each weight controller application.

Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has branches in all mainland states to provide Australia wide cover for national clients without requiring interstate travel.

Acryloc Building Products now weighs loaded pallets while still on the stretch wrapper since load cells and a digital weight indicator were fitted under the stretch wrapper’s turntable.

This simplified process saves double-handling at the company's Dry Creek plant by eliminating the need for the loaded pallet to be removed from the stretch wrapper and taken to a platform scale for weighing.
Accuweigh’s Port Adelaide branch organised for suitable drawings for Acryloc’s maintenance department to fabricate the necessary mounting brackets to fit the load cells to the stretch wrapper without significantly increasing the height of the stretch wrapper itself.

To minimise the potential of load cell damage by accidental impact from forklifts on the stretch wrapper, large swivel feet with rubber mounts were also fitted to the load cells.

A Rinstrum R310 digital weight indicator was fitted to the column of the stretch wrapper for displaying the weight readings.

Accuweigh service staff were then called in, terminated the load cell wires, and tested and calibrated the stretch wrapper’s digital weighing indicator.

Acryloc Building weighing indicator Products is an Australian owned and operated company that has been manufacturing water based roof coatings for almost 20 years.
