The on-board weighing electronics enables accurate weighing during loading. Weighing is virtually dynamic which allows for the operation of the weighing systems under normal operating conditions. The weighing electronics are installed in the vehicle cabin. A large, fully graphic LCD shows weighing results with relevant information such as customer, material, truck and trailer registration, operator ID, etc. All information, freely chosen by the vehicle operator, is memorised and individually linked to the corresponding weighing data in the scales memory log.
Weighing reports can either be printed out immediately after a weighing operation or stored in the weighing scale's memory. The user can print daily, weekly, monthly or yearly reports or summarise reports by defined customer or material type as selected.
Depending on the model of instrumentation used, weighing data can either be printed on an on-board ticket or tape printer, downloaded from the scale memory log onto a memory card, that can later be inserted into a memory card reader interfaced with an office PC. It also provides for modern wireless data transfer through GSM and radio. After each completed weighing, weight data is transferred to an office PC for printing of delivery notes and invoicing by weighing transmitters .
Tamtron's state-of-the-art on-board dynamic weighing system offer more than any other on-board dynamic weighing systems currently on the market, as they utilise intelligent software that enables weighing to take place dynamically during driving and lifting. The scale compensates for variation in travelling speed and unevenness of the ground, resulting in a high efficiency of loading and weighing at the same time.
Tamtron on-board dynamic weighing systems are designed for a variety of industrial and mining applications. On-board weighing systems can be fitted to front-end loaders, forklifts, scrap metal cranes, dump trucks, log loaders, haul trucks, etc.
Trade approval for dynamic weighing system
Autotech Weighing Systems, suppliers of in-motion rail weighing and other on board weighing systems, are SABS 0259 and SANAS accredited in the field of industrial mass measuring.
The Tamtron PKVPRO on-board dynamic weighing system for front end loaders is the first system, in South Africa, to receive pattern approval for use in trade in accordance with the Trade Metrology Act, from the SABS.
The PKVPRO is an accurate wheel loader scale utilising digital techniques and dynamic weighing module developed by Tamtron. The scale weighs accurately in all operating conditions, regardless of operator, travelling speed or roadway and loading area conditions. This allows for normal working and reduced loading time. The system is designed to ensure delivery against order quantity and eliminate costly time spent queuing at weighbridges.
Error compensation has been included to cope with sloping loading areas, angle sensors correct errors caused by slopes of up to 12°. When weighing with traditional wheel loader scales in an area with a slope of ±9° this slope causes an error of ±120 kg/10 T. Variations in lifting and travelling speed are corrected by the patented weighing algorithms.
The weighing receipt which includes the users contact information, weighing data and additional information such as: customer, site, material, truck, trailer, driver and price, can be printed using an on-board printer and stored in the scales memory. The user is able to create daily, weekly and monthly reports by defined customer or material as required.
The Tamtron PKVPRO on-board dynamic abnd Continuous Weighing System provides for modern wireless data transfer through GSM, GPRS and radio links between various scales and office equipment, eliminating paperwork at loading and weighing sites. Data such as customer order numbers and type of material can be transferred to the scale and the resulting weighing receipt can be transferred to a PC for fast invoicing.
