One advantage of a Pluto system is that it can be designed as either a centralised or de-centralised solution.
The safe-bus allows 32 PLCs to communicate and work together.
The safe-bus can also be used with encoders which allow a direct communication with the PLCs.
These encoders can use successfully used in gantry robot applications, eliminating the need for limit switches for setting up safe and nonsafe zones.
The safe bus can also allow the PLCs to work with a series of gateways in order to communicate with other intelligent devices.
These gateways support all of the common bus systems on the market.
These gateways are bi-directional which allows data to be transferred back and forth reporting the status of the safety systems.
A range of HMI panels are included, to allow users to clearly identify where the safety has been breeched and give information on the procedures to reset the machine before a start up in allowed.
Pluto packing controller uses dynamic pulses to allow engineers to connect safety devices in a series chain and still be able to meet Category 4.
These dynamic pulses can be used in single or two-channel applications.
This is a very simple and cost-effective way of building a safety system and could save OEMs costs of up to 35%.
