The new METTLER TOLEDO IND130 Smart Weight Transmitter allows general industrial users to secure stable scale readings in harsh environments, in a cost-effective manner. The industrial terminal allows users to easily connect information digitally from the weighing sensors to a PLC/PC. METTLER TOLEDO has a CalFREETM calibration process that allows users to initially calibrate their scale without testing weights.

The efficient design of the IND130 provides high value within pharmaceutical, food & beverage, aggregates and agricultural industry applications where a local dedicated display is not needed. The IND130 also features smart calibration for scales using standard analog strain gage load cells calibrated without test weights.
The IND130 Smart Weight Transmitter is equipped with industrial standard connectivity including Allen-Bradley RIO, PROFIBUS L2DP and DeviceNet, when used with the DeviceNet Bridge module. An RS-232 output also allows seamless integration to PLCs and PCs. In addition, digital filtering is included in the transmitter to increase accuracy across the entire weight range and in applications with vibration.
The IND130 is unique from other smart weight transmitters in that it features built-in robust OPTO isolation of I/O, ensuring reliability for the customer’s system,” says Dave Nelsen, METTLER TOLEDO Industrial Business Area Market Manager. “The electronics and software used in the IND130 are based on proven design, also increasing reliability and uptime.”
Additional features to improve business efficiency include an easy integration with DIN rail mounting, 24 VDC power, small footprint and removable plug-in type connectors when installation at the scale is desired. When installation at the scale is desired an IP65 stainless steel enclosure version includes a load cell summing board.
